Uncovering the Dark Truth of the Thanksgiving Legacy

Ever since I was an eager 1st grader, November has been characterized by the impending December holiday season -- and even closer, Thanksgiving. Sitting in classrooms, drawings of hand turkeys adorned the walls, passages of the First Thanksgiving read aloud in classrooms, and decorated black construction paper “pilgrim” hats covered tables.
