The Winchester Boys' Volleyball Team's Meteoric Rise to 6th in the State

Ben Yu

After last year's mediocre 18th-place finish, the Winchester High School Boys Volleyball team has rebounded significantly to start the MIAA D1 playoffs as the 6th seed, with an opportunity to win it all for the first time in WHS history. The team has been led by captain Jamie Watt, a senior who has topped the charts in all categories for the team. He leads the team in kills per set (4.7), hitting percentage (0.298), total kills (321), total blocks (32), digs (158), serving aces (24), and aces per set (0.4), assists (14), and receptions (300). Jamie, alongside seven other seniors this year, has led Winchester to an astounding 16-4 season, making it the best season in WHS Boys Volleyball history.
