The Rise of Virtual Reality in Art

Virtual reality, despite being decades old, still feels like something out of a sci-fi movie. By putting on a headset that blocks out reality, one is able to physically interact with a non-existent environment. It is a fast progressing technology that can be used in a variety of real-world applications. In recent years, there has been a rise of virtual reality in the art world. It promises many exciting possibilities in both the consumption of art in virtual reality as well as the creation of art itself.
