Texas Offers Land for Potential Deportation Facilities

On Tuesday, November 26, Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham announced plans to offer state land for potential deportation facilities for the upcoming Trump administration. The initiative was named “The Jocelyn Initiative,” after 12 year old Houston girl Jocelyn Nungaray, who was murdered supposedly by two men who entered the U.S. illegally. The case has brought immigration to the forefront of national debate, during this vital year in U.S. politics.
